Dear Beachwood Family

It is with a sad heart that we are sharing the recent passing of two small Chihuahuas that lived on Beachwood up at Belden. The high fence around the yard was not high enough to keep a Bobcat from entering the area and killing both of these precious dogs. This happened on Saturday during the day!

Many of you have small dogs. Since we now know that we have a Bobcat in the neighborhood, when your little dogs are let out into the yard, please stay with them while they do what they need to do.

When things like this happen, many of us are accustomed to reaching out to our local Wildlife Expert, Gregory Randall. He's out on leave according to Armando, his supervisor. There are no other experts for us to reach out to so we must do what we can to keep our animals from becoming victims.

We will be keeping you all updated on wildlife sightings in our canyon and gathering info that may help us as we coexist with wildlife in our canyon.

If you stay home, you can't complain about the outcome.

If you lost your ballot, go to your local polling place and fill out a provisional ballot. If you didn't mail your absentee ballot, don't do it now because it may not get counted. Instead, look at the instructions, vote and place your ballot in the envelope and show up to the polling place and drop it off. (don't forget to get your "I voted" sticker).

If you don't feel well or may be out of town, complete your ballot, place it in the envelope and follow the instructions including your signature giving your family member permission to drop off your ballot at your polling place. Remind your family member to sign the envelope as well.

YOUR voice counts.
