Visions Seeds Music Concerts for Summer, begin with a melodious, evocative, engaging artist! Multi-Award winning Singer/Songwriter/Performer Jackie Bristow. Jackie will be performing with her longtime electric guitarist, the snakey-fingered, badass virtuoso Mark Punch, who will have just arrived from Australia for this show. Jackie has worked with some of the finest Record Producers on the planet and her recordings are exceptional dives into the Soul of the human experience.

Living with Wildlife - How Rat Poison is Affecting the Park's Ecosystem

Wildlife abounds in Los Angeles, with charismatic species like bobcats and mountain lions living in some of the most urban habitat in the city, such as the Hollywood Hills.UCLA biologist and founder of UrbanCarnivores.com, Laurel Serieys will discuss the critical effects of urbanization on bobcats, mountain lions and coyotes.  

Rat poison is a widespread issue for bobcats across the Santa Monica Mountains, increasing susceptibility to mange and death. Learn how freeways and mange influence bobcat genetic health, and how mange acts as an agent of natural selection in urban bobcats.

Summer Neighborhood Meeting Monday, Aug 11 at 7 p.m.

BCNA logo It's time to get together again.

DATE: Monday, August 11 at 7 p.m.

LOCATION: Beachwood Cafe

This meeting will provide updates on crime, local tourist issues, traffic and parking updates and much more. We have invited the reps from the City Council as well as law enforcement.

Will you be there? Light refreshments will be served and you should be prepared to share your neighborhood concerns in a supportive environment. We are here for YOU!

Neighbor Josh Hickman's Band and His Band ROCKED on the 4th of July

Beachwood Canyon's own Josh Hickman, and his group The Noble Gasses Surfing Band playing as special guests in the Santa Barbara July 4th Parade. They called their float The Gassmobile.

P.S. This is a total good vibe event - we have noticed neighbors walking down the street at around 5 pm on Friday, almost all headed for Happy Hour. What a perfect way build community!
