Deronda/Rockcliff Safety & Traffic Update

The PPDs (Permit parking signs and enforcement) for upper Deronda down to Linforth including all of Rockcliff, are scheduled to go up in late July.  Hopefully this will help with our safety and tourist traffic problems.

Also, the sawhorse weekend placements, which was an idea that came from our Rockcliff/Deronda neighborhood meeting in May, has worked extremely well when they are placed at 5-points/Deronda and Rockcliff/Ledgewood.

When the sawhorses at 5-points were removed recently, leaving only the sawhorses at the intersection of Deronda/Rockcliff, gridlock continued to occur there.

Tourists were parking in the middle of the street, blowing horns and parking spaces quickly filled up all the way down Rockcliff and poured down the rest of Deronda.

Keeping the sawhorses in place on weekends at Rockcliff/Ledgewood and at Deronda/5-Points seems to be working very well. If you see anyone who is not a neighbor, tampering with the sawhorses, please report back to us so we can put them back or replace them.

We will now put sawhorses in site at Rodgerton/5-points as well to help prevent tourist cars from detouring on that street.

The city will not remove these sawhorses if they are only up on the weekend.

We all know a lot more needs to be done but this is just the start.

If you have any suggestions, questions or want to report problems regarding this plan please let us know.
