Dino Williams Memorial Service May 17, 2014 at noon
Last week, our beloved Dino Williams passed away with his family by his side. For those of you who do not know, Dino and his family own the southwest corner of our Village and have contributed much to our community. Dino was not just a landowner but also an accomplished artist on many levels, including his stained glass work. There is so much to know about this man and for those of us who have lived here a long time, there is much to remember. A very sweet and generous soul is now watching over us.
It is our hope that the community turn out to hear some of the things you did not know about Dino and to share in the richness of his life at his memorial service.
DATE: Saturday, May 17th at noon
(the church opens at 11:30 a.m.)
LOCATION: North Church,
Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills
Dino's son, Greg asks that, in lieu of flowers, attendees bring a flower or greenery from their garden. "We will incorporate it around my Pop for a floral tribute."
Please arrive early with your contribution to this sweet tribute.

New City Council Deputy for Beachwood
Today, we learned that one of our best deputies is moving from CD4 to CD13 working for Councilperson O'Farrell. Daniel Halden has been working with Beachwood Canyon residents along with Tracy James, director of field operations and both have been doing amazing work! Here's an excerpt from a letter from Daniel to our neighborhood:
"While I am very excited about my new opportunity, it is bittersweet to leave CD4, where I have gotten to know all of you. I have truly enjoyed serving as your field deputy. It is an honor to work with you and to get the opportunity to work for two wonderful public servants in Councilmembers LaBonge and O'Farrell.
There have of course been area challenges that we have worked on together. Please know that I have always tried to do my best to provide effective public service, and I consider it a privilege to have worked with you on behalf of your beautiful and historic neighborhood.
 | | Kristy Noochlaor |
Effective May 5th, the new field deputy for my area will be Kristy Noochlaor. Her number is 213-473-2344 and her email is kristy.noochlaor@lacity.org.
She is a lovely person, and a fellow CD4 resident, and I'm sure you will enjoy getting to know her as much as I have. Tracy James will continue to serve as Director of Field Operations and will work with you on area issues.
I really can't emphasize enough how privileged I am for the opportunity to serve the great City of Los Angeles -- the only place I have ever wanted to live. Thank you for all that you do for our community. As the Councilmember would say, "you are truly angels in the City of Angels!"
We will miss him and wish him well in his new job.
Here's the email addresses for our local contacts in CD4:

Beachwood Coyote Watch There are many forms of wildlife in our canyon. All of them deserve our respect and protection. We must do our part to protect our pets from becoming food for these creatures. Beachwood Coyote Watch is a page created for the sharing of sightings and to trade ideas on how to best co-exist without our pets being injured or killed. If you've had encounters or would like to be part of this exchange, just click on the photo above. For some helpful documents on the various forms of wildlife here, go to our website:
