Reminder - Fruit Trees for Citrus Circus Needed AND Pick'n Kitchen Event TOMORROW 3/22/14

Hollywood Orchard needs to enhance the harvest this coming Saturday:

If you have some part of your citrus tree that we could pick, we can do it on Saturday morning between 9-12. We are willing to take the high ones. The fruit is donated to a South Los Angeles center for underserved youth. Contribute to a good cause!

H.O.Base Camp - 2599 Glen Green cul-de-sac, just up the street from Beachwood Dr.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Please arrive by 8:45am to sign-in for the event, receive a name tag and enjoy some light refreshments. We will send off the Pickers in small crews at 9:00 a.m. The Kitchen crew will prep the pop-up kitchen. Crews will return around 11am and begin separating and preparing the fruit and, if they like, work in the on-site kitchen and learn new recipes from our fabulous chefs!

WHAT TO BRING:

Please wear comfortable, old clothes and sturdy shoes as we'll be working throughout the morning. Bring a hat, sunscreen, a bag lunch and a water bottle. Cold drinks and snacks will be provided.

HARVEST TOOLS:

If you have pruning sheers, fruit pickers, work gloves and plastic buckets, please bring them. Kitchen Tools: a paring knife, cutting board, and a quart jar for bringing home sorbet mix.
(Remember to label your tools!)

TRANSPORTATION & PARKING:
Please walk, ride a bike or carpool to the Glen Green cul-de-sac as parking is very limited. Be sure to check parking signs and please be respectful of our neighbors and where you leave your vehicle.

The deadline to purchase tickets online and get the HAC discount is 2PM THIS Saturday.
General Admission $10 off online price of $25 with Code HACGA. General Admission tickets will be $35 at the door.
VIP $20 off online price of $125 with Code HACVIP. VIP tickets will be $150 at the door.
PLEASE INVITE ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND CONTACTS to buy a ticket and enjoy the show. We also have some great silent auction items (see below)
