Caught on Camera - courtesy of KTLA: "A mountain lion padded slowly through the residential streets of the Hollywood Hills last week - and the animal's calm stride was caught on surveillance video. Two camera angles show the puma walking down the roadway alongside parked cars on March 5, just before dawn, according to the time stamp on the videos." Read more: KTLA

Goodbye, Lady Coco Pebble

"Lady Coco Pebble" 8/2011-3/12/2014

Coco was a very special dog that left us too soon after being attacked by a coyote in our back yard. She suffered a broken jaw and snout. After reconstructive surgery, the vets thought she would make it for sure. She was being fed through a feeding tube (just for recovery) but the food and meds were starting to come back up the next day. We were told that they would adjust the formula and hopefully she would start to get the nutrients needed to recuperate.

Two days later, an abscess formed in her chest tissue. The doctors thought it was an infection from a puncture wound, but after some testing it turned out to be a tear in her esophagus. The vets said this was next to impossible to fix.

It was so horrible to see her injured, but even harder to see her suffering. Today we said goodbye.

"Lady Coco Pebble" was raised by "Baby Grrrl" her older pit bull sister. She absolutely loved Gabriella, our new little human baby girl and perked up during our visit when she heard her make some baby noises. Coco loved to burrow under the covers and keep our feet warm. One of her favorite things to do was to eat the little bits of food that would sometimes fall on the floor when I was putting the food in their bowls. She also loved to chase her tail and get Baby Grrrl into a playful mood to chase her. She loved walks, laying in the sun, and cuddling on the couch with us. We will miss her terribly but know that she is in doggy heaven and no longer suffering. We will always love you Coco!!!

We created this page to attempt to raise some money for her medical bills. Any little bit will help.
