The Gallery House (1924, the Kanst Art Gallery) was the first home built on Mulholland HWY in Hollywoodland.

It was both the home of its owner, John Kanst and the new site for one of Southern California's most important established art galleries. The home has a distinguished (and notorious)
history of events and gatherings, from the
LA Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra to the
Hollywood Gang of Five.
