State of California Agrees with YOU!

The laws that govern our communities (California Environmental Quality Act - CEQA) have been
grossly violated. Now it falls to the many community leaders and residents in and around Hollywood to force the City and the developer to halt their forward movement and send this project back for an entirely new environment impact study. The public's due process has been trampled and it's the public that will have to demand to have their rights restored. It's time to apply pressure on the State and prepare to file a lawsuit to stop this project. Here's what you can do:

Still from Earthquake with Charlton Heston 1974

1) Help gather funds to start this legal process. There are only 20 days left to file or lose the right to assert our legal rights. Objections to this project extend far beyond the active Hollywood earthquake fault underneath the project. Please see donation info below.

2) Send a letter to the State officials (see email addresses below). Ask that they initiate legal action to stop this project. Sometimes politics clouds the State's vision of their position as the responsible agency. They have been pushed aside as well in this matter by the alliance of the City and the Millennium developer. Let them know that this project needs to go back for a new EIR including a full and cumulative traffic study as requested by Caltrans and an independent and State supervised seismic study of the property as instructed by the California State Geological Survey.

You may want to tell them that the head of the L.A. Planning Commission, Bill Roschen was and is retained by Millennium Partners as an architect and consultant on the Millennium Hollywood project while it was being considered by the Planning Commission.

Copy and paste these emails in the To field so they all receive your letter at once:

assemblymember.bloom@assembly.ca.gov, Josh.Krupies@asm.ca.gov, Tim.Pershing@asm.ca.gov, assemblymember.gatto@assembly.ca.gov, eric.menjivar@asm.ca.gov, caltrans.director@dot.ca.gov, larry.kerestz@dca.ca.gov

Tell the Governor:
