BCNA Annual Meeting
Monday, February 11, 2013 at 7 p.m. at the Beachwood Cafe (Thanks Patti!)
We will have the Council Office reps, our senior lead officer and other special guests to participate in our neighborhood discussion. Updates will be given on our efforts to get a helicopter flight rule in place. We'll have someone there to give an update on the lawsuit that is in place to stop the Hollywood Community Plan.
As is our custom, we will be asking the community to assist in building an action plan for Beachwood Canyon. We know you have concerns so please bring your own list of priorities.
Many of you know that our boundaries go from the Hollywood Sign south to Franklin, east to Canyon, and west to Vista Del Mar. If you are not yet a member, please go to our website and click on Membership and please download the Membership form on that page. Let's make 2013 the best year ever!
Have a safe and happy beginning of this new year! Return to top

Beachwood Cafe Happenings!
Happy New Year from the Beachwood Cafe!
The Community gathered last October and you can see how much fun that was! Community Night the first Wednesday of the month!
|
Exciting news: We are launching "Community Night" Wednesday, January 9 with a kids menu and group games from 4 to 6:30 p.m., followed by "Game Night" for adults. We have scrabble, chess, backgammon, checkers and scrabble in French! Mark your calendar for the first Wednesday of the month for Community Night!
Bingo will be the last Wednesday of every month and once again, we will be donating the proceeds to Hollywood Orchard.
We are having many contests on Facebook, so 'like' us and enter the contest. We are also doing a lot of stuff on Twitter, so follow us to find out (@BeachwoodCafe)! Coming soon is Curbside Coffee pick-up between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m., where you can stop in front of the cafe and tell the attendant if you want black or with cream, they swipe your card and off you go! No parking. No lines. How great is that? Also offered will be a select few pastries. We'll let you know when we launch Curbside Coffee pick-up! And finally, we are doing a 3 course prix fixe ($65) with a champagne cocktail for Valentines Day, so get your reservations in early. Some of the choices on the menu will be rose infused chicken and lobster raviolis.

Ginny is Still Missing

Ginny lives on Lechner with Michael. This is worth re-posting:
She is approx 2yrs old (I've only had her for three months), 8lbs, one eye, terrier/Chiuahah mix. She is very sweet but will be more trusting if a woman approaches her. Call please with any spotting: 323.839.7159 Many generous neighbors chased Ginny down Beachwood and she was last seen behind the 76 Station on Franklin and Gower. All the cars stopped for her and so many were trying to catch her. This is so very sad! Please spread the word!!!

"For last year's words belong to last year's language, and next year's words await another voice. To make an end is to make a beginning."
