Cities Journal recently posted a story rating the top 17 cities in Ohio. These types of stories often pop up on the internet, but they are fun nonetheless. (This journal has not yet published a similar assessment for Kentucky.) - Number 15 on their list is The City of Blue Ash. This represents yet another thumbs up for a community that seems to be on every livability list. Quoting from the article: “Blue Ash is home to some of the most expensive real estate in the Buckeye State and could be considered mostly white collar." Wikipedia mentions Red, White and Blue Ash, and Taste of Blue Ash as summer events that attract huge crowds to the community. - Number 14 on the list is The City of Montgomery. Quoting from the article: “This city has some of the highest home prices in Ohio and the rest of the nation for that matter. The community is made up largely of professionals, artists, sales workers and financial professionals." It is also pointed out that this is a city that has been called a great place to raise a family due to it’s great public school system, which has received Ohio's highest rating for an impressive 10 years in a row and large number of college-aged residents. - Number 6 on the list is The City of Loveland. Quoting from the article: “Loveland is part of a beautiful area of the state and it straddles the Little Miami River. Biking and canoeing in this area are popular activities enjoyed by resident and visitors alike and with the city’s 16 different parks there is plenty of exploring to be done. It has an excellent school system. For those that enjoy festivals during the summer months Loveland offers it’s annual Julyfest, SymmesFest, and many smaller church festivals.” - Number 1 The top spot on their list is The City of Mason! Quoting from the article: “Mason encompasses all of the best qualities of living in a small Midwestern city. It features some of the highest priced real estate in the state of Ohio and is considered to be an affluent, white collar city. Mason is home to such major employers like L-3 Communications, Heinz, Mitsubishi Electric, and the city is also home to the Cintas headquarters and has a great tax rate." The article also quotes Wikipedia in describing that the city was originally referred to as Palmyra and later renamed for the Revolutionary War veteran William Mason. - As knowledgeable boosters of our region, our agents can attest that every community has its own charms and vibrancy. We treasure the livability of our Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky neighborhoods.
