- It is truly an understatement to say that the East End has experienced dramatic changes in the past 10 to 15 years. For the entirety of the 20th century, East End was the home of the manufacturing industry that took advantage of the rail line and riverfront access. What residences were there tended towards the very affordable. This is a neighborhood defined by the Ohio River. In fact, East End hugs the river for miles, beginning from near the Montgomery Inn Boathouse to the Little Miami River. (See Map). ![]() With gorgeous river views and amazing convenience to Downtown, Mt Lookout, Mt Adams, Hyde Park, and Anderson Township, many long time residents wondered when this area would be developed. Of course, the reason it was never developed is the same reason it’s being developed now – the nearness to the Ohio River. The enclave has been frequently swept by floods, some of which could be called monumentally historic. - Today, East End offers an exquisite array of condominiums and townhomes. Foster’s Point, Twain's Point, Waterfront East, and RiverWalk are very desirable residences. The area seems to be on a steady path of enhancement. The main route through the community even acquired a new name 10 years ago. What was once known as Eastern Avenue is now Riverside Drive. The Theodore M. Berry International Friendship Park, one of the area’s most delightful greenspaces is located on Riverside Drive. Plans continue to convert the railroad tracks that parallel Riverside Drive into a bike path that will connect downtown with the Little Miami Scenic Trail. - The area boasts numerous dining options. These include: Brew River GastroPub, Bella Luna, the venerable Sky Galley at Lunken Airport, Terry’s Turf Club, Four Seasons Boatyard Grill, & Pirates Cove. - If you have ever considered living along the river and would like some information about residential availability, reach us at 513.321.6000 or Homes@RobinsonSIR.com. --- -RSIR |
