The School Board of the San Marino Unified School District has charged me, as Superintendent, with inspiring our students with a passion for learning, engaging our parent and community members and empowering our staff. The world of education has dramatically changed in just a matter of a few years. Our students are being assessed differently and our schools are being funded differently.  In order for the San Marino Unified School District to remain as the premier academic school district in the State, we must be flexible, forward thinking and innovative in all that we do to support student achievement.

This document, which reflects annual goals and objectives, will provide a framework for my activities this coming 2014-15 school year and beyond. The plan is broken into three phases covering the course of the academic year.

This Mid-Year Assessment Report details many of our districts achievements this year.  These accomplishments are in most cases, attributed to the amazing work of our teachers and support staff. There are also a number of recommendations to the Board of Education as to how we can continue to improve the educational experience for our students.     

I am honored to serve as your superintendent of schools. Together we will chart a course toward continued excellence of the San Marino Unified School District.
