Greetings!
Steve Roth
Steve Roth

My name is Steve Roth and I am honored to be serving as president of the Los Angeles Chapter of PRSA in 2013. I'm pleased to be part of a truly dedicated, experienced and professional Board of Directors, all of whom you'll find listed on the left side of this page.

Our goals for PRSA-LA in 2013 are to offer a full, diverse and well-rounded year of programming; to improve our communication and engagement with you; to grow our Chapter membership; and to continue to improve our signature programming and activities.

We're proud to offer a year of diverse programming covering a variety of topics and industries--from crisis communications to food and hospitality PR. You can read more below about our upcoming February program, "The Convergence of Hollywood and Brands," as well as our 2013 Program Passport Package, which enables members to purchase program tickets in bundles and save.

We also have exciting plans in store for our Chapter website, our social media, and even this newsletter. We'll tell you more about those changes in the coming months.

Finally, we'll also be focused in 2013 on issues of broad importance to our industry and will be advocating for our profession on your behalf. As always, we welcome your feedback and input on important areas of focus for our industry as the year progresses.

Thank you again for your interest and involvement in PRSA-LA, and I hope to see you soon at one of our events.

Sincerely,

Steve Roth, PRSA-LA President

New Member Benefit

PRSA-LA Introduces 2013 Program Passport Package: Attend Three or More Programs This Year and Save!

PRSA-LA 2013 Program Passport In 2013, PRSA Los Angeles Chapter will offer a number of programs that represent the global nature and industry diversity of Los Angeles PR.

To help members maximize these opportunities, we are offering Chapter Members the opportunity to purchase tickets to these outstanding programs in advance and enjoy significant savings on the standard fees to attend. The more you buy, the greater the discount, and tickets are transferable to a colleague if you are unable to attend.  We call this new benefit the PRSA-LA Program Passport Package.

Better yet, if you happened to attend January's "2013 State of the State of PR Conference," you may apply your purchase of that ticket toward a new Passport Package and claim an even bigger per-event discount!

Passport Packages are offered at the following rates*:

  • 6 programs: $240 for members (a savings of $90 or 27% off the regular member price of $55 per program)
  • 3 programs: $130 for members (a savings of $35 or 20% off the regular member price of $55 per program)

"State of the State" Attendees: Members who attended the January 23 "State of the State of PR" program and wish to purchase a Passport Package should contact Mindy Brundige at the PRSA-LA office at info@prsala.org or 818.582.3233 to ensure proper credit.

Benefit Terms: Most PRSA-LA events require a reservation.  Reservations made using the Passport Package will be treated as all other paid reservations. If cancellation is necessary, it must be done by the cancellation date for each event, or the payment is forfeited. Passport Packages do not apply to the PRSA-LA Annual PRism Awards Show and Dinner or other programs deemed "Special Events" by the Chapter (a rare occurrence).
