A Message from the Editor
Hi, everyone!

As I'm writing this, my mind is being distracted by the upcoming snowstorm that is scheduled to hit any second.

While I'm not looking forward to the inches of snow that are supposed to stick on the ground, I'm reminded of how blessed I am to be able to spend these next few chilly days inside a warm home. It is a luxury not everyone is afforded.

Even though we do not do a lot of construction during the winter time, we make sure to work hard the rest of the year to ensure that the deserving families in St. Croix and Pierce counties have a warm place to call home when the cold weather hits.

Have a great day,

Join our FAM Club!
The Fifteen Dollars a Month club is a hassle free and secure way to help fight poverty housing in the St. Croix Valley. Each month, for less than a couple meals at a restaurant, you can help provide a home for a local family in need.

With the FAM club, every month 15 dollars (or more, if you choose) will be
securely transferred from your bank account to ours to help us cover the cost we incur on our noble mission.

To sign up for the FAM club please,
contact the office at 715-425-5623.

We at St. Croix Valley Habitat for Humanity would like to extend a very heartfelt and humble thank you to all of our donors for your
beneficence; it is through your contributions that we may continue our righteous work.

Thank You, Donors and Volunteers!
This year, our affiliate has been lucky to have so many wonderful volunteers and donors working side-by-side with us as we continue on our mission of providing safe, decent, affordable homes in St. Croix and Pierce counties. We could not help those deserving families in need without you. You make a difference!

We look forward to working with all of you in 2016!

Coming Soon to New Richmond
It's hard to believe that six years ago we were building our first home in New Richmond. Starting in spring 2016, we'll begin construction on three more homes there.

These three homes will be built eco-friendly and environmentally sustainable. However, these homes will be slightly different from the Eco Village homes.

If you are interested in learning more about construction or environmen
tally sustainable and eco-friendly building practices or if you just want to give back to your community, contact Kayla Ludwigson at kayla.ludwigson@scvhabitat.org to learn how to get involved with this project.

Welcome, Dennis!
If you've stopped by the River Falls ReStore within the past month, you may have seen a new face walking around.

Dennis Rank has joined our ranks as a ReStore Associate at our River Falls store. Dennis, who is taking over for John Thompson, will help pick-up local donations, take in donations at the store, and just generally being awesome.

Make sure to stop in and meet Dennis if you haven't already had the pleasure of doing so.

Construction Committee Changes
Dennis Schmidt, former project specialist with our affiliate, and Rollie Johnson, former board member, have both concluded their positions on the construction committee.

Both Rollie and Dennis have volunteered countless hours to the committee, and the affiliate has benefited greatly from their willingness to share their expertise. They certainly leave big shoes to fill. Thank you for your years of dedicated support!

If you are interested in sitting on our construction committee, please contact Kayla Ludwigson at kayla.ludwigson@scvhabitat.org for more information.
Board of Directors Update
While there will be some changes coming to our 2016 board of directors, those changes are not yet finalized. Because of the snowstorm, the December board meeting was cancelled, which meant that the voting for the approval of the board members is postponed until later this month.

After the voting, an update will be given on the officer positions.
Eco Village Closings
The closing for the last homes in the Eco Village are scheduled for this month. That means that a possible Eco Village celebration is in the future!

Make sure to keep a lookout for more information on this potential event.
