Staff of the Month
Tamra Knight- June 2013-2014 VISTA
We have bid farewell to one of our treasured VISTA Americorps workers, Tamra Knight.  After serving with St. Croix Valley Habitat for Humanity for the past year Tamra is moving on.  Tamra has been instrumental in increasing our ReStore internet sales and has also been a key player in editing and  sending out our new electronic newsletter.  Tamra has a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and Marketing from UWRF and a Master of Arts in Leadership from Augsburg.  We miss Tamra and wish her all the best. Thank you Tamra for your service to Habitat!
John Thompson: June 2014-2015 VISTA.  John will focus on SCV Habitat Outreach and Volunteerism. During the year, he will work closely with Susan Capparelli. Last summer John served as one of two SCV Habitat Summer Construction VISTAs and is "positively thrilled" to be working with SCV Habitat again.
Paul Capparelli: Summer Construction VISTA. He will start at the end of June and will focus on creating databases for construction equipment and vehicles, maintenance planning, etc. Paul will work closely with both Joel Palmquist and Jim Cooper.
Bremer Grant
We received a grant from Bremer Bank that will go towards our Brush With Kindness program.
A Brush With Kindness
We are happy to announce the Board of Directors agreed to move forward the Brush with Kindness program at the SCV Habitat for Humanity!
A Brush with Kindness is an exterior home preservation program that offers painting, landscaping and minor repair services to eligible homeowners so they can continue to live in safe, decent homes for years to come. Projects include painting, landscaping, weatherization and minor repair services. The initial Brush with Kindness focus will be in the New Richmond and Glenwood City areas.
