The St Croix Valley Habitat for Humanity has been selected for a Thrivent Build. This will be home number 13 of the Eco-Village and the Family Partner is Mary Voje.

Congratulations to Robert and Michelle Smith and family for being selected as our Family Partner in number 8.

We will be having home dedications in May for homes 8, 9, and 10! The dates will be announced at a later date. Also in May, we will be breaking ground on homes 11, 12, 13, and 14!

St. Croix Valley Habitat for Humanity has already helped 86 adults and 178 children within our 58 quality homes in local cities throughout the St. Croix and Pierce Counties and also supported construction of 41 homes internationally.

Thank you, community, volunteers, and family partners, for all the support in the past year. You have made building safe, decent, affordable homes a reality in our community.

Volunteer of the Month
John Hackbarth

John started with the St Croix Valley Habitat in May of 2010. He became involved with starting and opening the Habitat ReStore. He is still on the ReStore board today.

His background involves business and how to open and start a store. He also bought The Gem in New Richmond and completely gutted, cleaned, and restored the entire building for the community to use as a theater and performance arts center.

John is a great asset to the ReStore and pops his head in often! Thanks for your hard work.
