2015 First Quarter Report

The 2015 first quarter "Quarterly Performance Data Report" was recently posted on the Keep Your Home California website and the charts on the Reports and Statistics webpage were updated with the new information. The report describes recent progress for Keep Your Home California, as we began calendar year 2015. Some of the highlights from the report include:
Foreclosure Prevention Workshops

Last month, we included how Keep Your Home California is partnering with the Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment (ACCE) to host three foreclosure prevention workshops in three different cities in June. Thus far, we have held two of the events - in Sacramento and Oakland - with one more to come on June 27 in Los Angeles at the Ward AME Church.

The homeowners who attended the first two events learned more about qualifying for up to $100,000 in mortgage payment assistance and several of the event attendees also met with a Keep Your Home California counselor onsite to begin their application. As with the past two events, there will be certified counselors at the workshop in Los Angeles. Anyone interested in attending can call (855) 286-4912 ext. 9 to register for the event or get more information.

End of National Homeownership Month is Just the Beginning

As we approach the end of National Homeownership Month, it is important to keep in mind that all of the great resources you have been hearing about in June are available year-round. Our partner HUD approved housing counseling agencies will continue to provide their services, whether you are trying to buy, sell, maintain, or save your home. And the California Housing Finance Agency programs will continue to help buyers achieve their dreams of purchasing a home.

At Keep Your Home California, we are committed to helping homeowners prevent avoidable foreclosures, no matter what month is on the calendar. Keep Your Home California provided over $38 million in assistance to California homeowners in May, the most ever for a single month. It was a nice way to kick off National Homeownership Month.  As we approach the end of June, we continue to help homeowners keep their dreams of homeownership alive.
