SPRING IS HERE!

Spring is here and it is the perfect time to start something new, like your new home! But when should you begin designing and planning for this type of project?

It's never too early to start your project, but it's best to plan with the 3 to 6 month design process in mind. You may also want to consider that, once construction has begun, your project will take approximately 7 to 12 months for completion (this, of course, depending on the size and complexity of the home). Spring is an excellent time to begin the exciting process of designing and building!

CREATIVITY

The exciting part of designing your own home is that you can choose exactly how you want your home to look and feel. Let us take your ideas and guide you through the design process!

Some clients have a clear picture of their dream home and we are excited to produce that dream for each client. On the other hand, some folks may be interested in receiving creative input and we provide services in architectural creativity as well.

"I've got plenty of ideas, but I'm not 100% sure what I want my home to look like or how to include all the styles I like." As your custom builder, our job is to create your masterpiece! Thanks to sites such as Pinterest and Houzz, there are plenty of creative ideas at your fingertips!

A QUICK OVERVIEW OF THE DESIGN PROCESS

After contacting us about designing your project, we take the next step by meeting with you to discuss what you want in a home, as well as introduce you to our values and methods of designing and building!

Phase One of the design process involves developing the preliminary design of your home. This will include several reviews and revisions as you tell us about your lifestyle, as well as functional needs and desires.

- We will begin with preliminary work on the job site...

- Second, the floor plan will be developed...

- Next, we move to creating and developing the elevations...

These phases will all include meetings with you - the client - to be sure you are completely satisfied with the design!

Phase Two will revolve around completing the construction drawings.

Some designers create their plans without a solid knowledge of what is structurally plausible when actually building a home, but Grace Builders has had years of experience both designing and building. This gives us the ability to design your home exactly how you dreamed, while still keeping it structurally sound and

buildable!
