Kentucky Derby Festival Balloon Races
The Kentucky Derby Festival's U.S. Bank Great Balloon Rush-Hour Race and Great Balloon Race will take off from historic Bowman Field. The U.S. Bank Great Balloon Rush-Hour Race is scheduled to launch at 7 a.m. on Friday, April 25 and the U.S. Bank Great Balloon Race will lift off at 7 a.m. on Saturday, April 26 (weather permitting for both events). Summer Aviation Camp
Do you have a child or grandchild between the ages of 10 to 16 interested in learning more about aviation? If so, join us on Thursday, July 17 and Friday, July 18 for a two-day Aviation Camp at historic Bowman Field! Sponsored by the Louisville Regional Airport Authority and conducted by the Aviation Museum of Kentucky, campers will learn about the industry, flight navigation, computer flight simulation, aeronautics and meet with aviation professionals.  Louisville International Receives Training Award 
The Louisville International Airport recently received the ANTN Digicast Excellence in Airport Training award from the American Association of Airport Executives for training completed in 2013. An ANTN Excellence in Airport Training award signifies that an airport's employees have completed a certain amount of federally mandated, airport-specific and continuing education training using the ANTN Digicast's Web-based training system. The training system offers topics including operations, ARFF, security, customer service and human resources.
