Louisville International Ranks Third in Seat Growth
Travel options from the Louisville International Airport (SDF) have never been better with more seats and larger, roomier aircraft. Despite a national growth of less than one percent, seat inventory has increased by more than 10 percent at SDF-making it the third fastest growing airport among the nation's largest 75 airports. As a result, total passenger activity in the Louisville area is up by nearly three percent over last year. As shown in the chart below, Louisville is ranked among the largest airports in North America, which serve significantly larger population centers. Louisville International's growth is thanks to new service by Southwest Airlines to Atlanta and Denver and larger aircraft introduced by other airlines. |

Temporary Rental Car Lot
Beginning Thursday, September 19, rental car patrons will be redirected to the temporary rental car quick-turn-around (QTA) lot on the terminal's east side as the current area is renovated. As part of the renovations, new fuel and vacuum islands, a state-of-the-art car wash and enhanced parking controls and security measures will be installed. Also, rental vehicle parking will be expanded by more than 50 percent for the airport's rental car partners.
To access the temporary rental car lot, patrons should follow the special orange-and-black signs that will be posted along the roadway.
