Hi and welcome to "CHAS's CHANGES for LIFE".
So this week we have more small changes. Pick what you feel you can do, and let the rest go. We can't change everything in a day.
There's also a great fruit salad and 5 of my favorite meatloaf recipes.
And this week we learn about some new gardening ways. Your own farmers market.
Remember, we all do want to be healthier and have a more fulfilling life, but will we do what needs to be done, "CHANGES".
 
Small Changes in Your Life 2
 
This is how it works. It's simple and very basic. And you can't fool mother nature!

Weight Loss = Calories In - Calories Out

Yes, there are many other things that can interfere with your weight loss, but we really do need to understand the basics.  So if you eat 1800 real food calories today,

Strawberry, Mango and Jicama Salad

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups of sliced strawberries
  • 1 cup chopped mango (or more)
  • 1 cup chopped Jicama (a vegetable sort of but a little sweet found at Kroger's)
  • ¼ cup chopped Cilantro
  • 3 Tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • Approximately 3 Tbls of Balsamic Vinegar and 1 ½ Tbls of Honey
In a medium bowl, stir together the strawberries, mango and jicama.
Add in the cilantro, lime juice and premixed Balsamic and Honey. Stir well until combined.

Tower Gardening
well. Eat healthy. And it's always about fresh, locally grown foods. Well it doesn't get much more local then your own back door, or kitchen, or where ever you choose.
 
Kimberley and I have had our own traditional vegetable and fruit garden for years. It was a LOT of work, time consuming and costly. We now TOWER GARDENAfter only 4 weeks, we are picking our own veggies. Just walk outside to the end of our patio and get our fresh, home grown veggies. There really is no work. It's self-watering. NO soil, so NO weeding, NO tilling. We spend about 30 minutes a week checking on it. Not 5 hours a week anymore like our traditional dirt garden was. Yes it is that easy.Just step out on your deck and pick your salad. Can be done all year, outside and inside!
