Alright now everyone, listen up,
I've got a little nutrition heading your way.

Have you ever wondered what exactly happens to your body when you eat way too many sugary and fatty carbs? You may feel stimulated and they may give you a temporary high, but what are the other short-term effects of one too many scoops of ice cream, one too many sodas, or one too many cookies? Well I'd like to share just what happens within the FIRST FEW HOURS after you OVERDO IT.

Let's start with our mouth...yum yum! Eating sugary, fatty processed foods created more saliva. Yes, the more saliva you have, the better all the overeating tastes, which in turn increases the likelihood of OVEREATING.

Inside your mouth are your teeth. The more junk you eat, the more sugar clings to every one of your teeth, which in turn, reacts with bacteria to produce ENAMEL-DAMAGING ACID.

My Health & My Future Baby's Health are IMPORTANT

Ever since we were toddlers and refused to eat anything other than chicken nuggets and pancakes we've been told how important our fruits and vegetables are. I can vividly remember my mom pulling a "do as I say, not as I do" and trying to get me to eat veggies when she wouldn't. Luckily for her, and even more so for me, it turned out that I loved veggies. I still do. I promise you this isn't the pregnancy talking, but some nights I just make a bag of peas and sit on the couch and eat them like a normal person would eat ice cream. I'm the same way with green beans and the tree parts of broccoli. (I'm convinced the tree trunks are poison.)

It's funny what diet can do for us. And what it can't when nutrients are missing. 5 years ago I was living the dream. I had an apartment in the "city" (Dayton) and was living by myself 5 minutes from work. I had a Wendy's down the block and 2 gas stations on either corner. All the glory of Brown Streets restaurants was walking distance if I was brave enough. I lived in convenience and took advantage of it. I also had psoriasis, which if you don't know, is an incurable persistent long lasting skin condition, often associated with your immune system. It was on my elbows, my scalp, and (TMI), even my butt crack! Attractive.
