Well doing nothing is a vote that makes a difference. You want to lose weight, get fit, become healthier? Waiting till Monday, the first of the month, the New Year is deciding to be unhealthy, overweight and unfit!

Busy-ness
 
Who has time? What is time? How can I do what you want me to do, I have NO TIME!!!

Yes, we've all been guilty of saying this or at least thinking this at one time or another. Come on admit it, I'm admitting it!

I was talking to a client (not mine) and he was saying that in the past he never kept up the gym, after about 3 weeks he'd throw in the towel. He then said it must be easy for you, meaning me, KimberleyG, to work out since it's your job, your life style! Well in a way he's right but totally off base also. Why? Well, for one thing I'm busy as busy can be. No I don't have a 9-5 job; I work when my clients need me. I'm the first to tell you that YOU come first before anyone else. How?
 

I've found that to ease up your time you need to create a schedule. And yes you need to put yourself in your schedule. That's the only time, or should I say way, you'll have the time your need for you!
 

That way even though I stay busy as I can with clients at the training center and clients at their houses and my house. And writing this for the newsletter, working on my next certification and cleaning my house and walking my dog, I teach classes, and create new super workouts, Yet I still find time to get a workout in.

Superhero Donut Run
It's our first run of the year. April 16th in Centerville. The Superhero Donut 5K Run, sponsored by Bill's Donut Shop. We have a BAER Fit team, so if you join you'll also get a BAER Fit shirt designed just for this run, by Summer Swift. So click on the link and join us. REAL FOOD THREE
BUDGET!

When the "experts" I've been telling you about the last two weeks created, and then stuck to their plans of REAL food, there were those who told them, "Sure YOU can do it! YOU don't have to stick to my budget! REAL FOOD COSTS MORE!"
  
And with that challenge, they started to work! Take it from someone that has done it before, budgeting food with growing kids (and a hungry husband and mother-in-law in house) presents challenges. Husband was on a teacher's salary, mother-in-law was retired, and kids mostly contributed HEALTHY appetites, and thank goodness, not extremely picky palates! The golden rules that Lisa at "100 days..." says she learned to follow are not very different from mine.

What Are You Aiming at?

 

Zig Ziglar once said, "If you aim at nothing, you will hit it every time." Sound failure Charles? And each of us knows from our own experience that he is right. The general flow of human life tends to be toward ease and comfort. One day flows into the next, and many of us never quite get around to turning our good intentions into reality.
 
Those 'good intentions,' while no doubt admirable, tend to remain unrealized mainly because they are too vague. Vague ideas are impossible to focus on and aim for; they are moving targets.
 
Do you have moving targets in your life? Perhaps you want to eat a more healthy diet or lose the winter weight that has crept upon you. Maybe you just want to establish a regular workout routine and stick with it this time.

Sitting Kills and Moving Heals
 
There has been and continues to be a lot of fuss about our sedentary lives, how long we sit and how 30-60 minutes per day of exercise may not be enough to overcome the hours of sitting (but it sure beats not doing anything!). So to a large extent the title of this post is accurate, although exaggerated for effect of course.  However, even if sitting doesn't truly "kill" it does cause a host of other problems often faced by the modern person.

Most people are at least familiar with the child song "Dem Bones." Remember, the foot bone's connected to the leg bone, the leg bone's connected to the knee bone...and so on
