If You're Not Succeeding
CHANGE

When you're finished changing, you're finished. -Benjamin Franklin

What I'm thinking about when I say we need change is our health, weight, fitness and nutrition. So many of you when asked, "How's your eating? How's your workouts? How's your health?" typically answer "FINE". But you aren't seeing any progress. Guess what, fine is not OK. You must change what you are doing, to get change in you. In other words, keep doing what you're doing, you'll keep getting what you're getting. If you want to get healthier, lose weight, get fitter, than you must improve in all those areas. No cheat meals. No skipping your workouts. And see a doctor and get physicals so you know what's going on. We get so use to feeling bad, that we think we are suppose to. Like being overweight...I hear well my parents were, I'm big boned, it's in my family genes. NO, NO, NO. It's what you are putting in your mouth and sitting in that recliner. So I've got lot's of change and motivational quotes on our BAER blog. Go there and find a couple you like and post them around the house. Let's really change.

Surprising Stats that Prove
Age is But a Number

The saying "age is but a number" couldn't be more true. There is a difference between biological age, which tells you how your body is actually functioning, and chronological age, which the number of candles you might find on your birthday cake. It's all about perspective.

Talking about age how about your genes? Genes are "fixed" in the sense that you can't remove the "bad" ones. But there is no reason to think you are stuck because you can work with what you were given. How do you live your life? Your genes can be altered by what you eat, your physical fitness and even your exposure to chemicals.

If you choose not to work out, what is that saying about you and what do your children think of you? A sedentary lifestyle may be more to blame for the loss of muscle mass after age 40 than the aging process itself. After just six weeks of exercise, studies show a 100 to 200 percent increase in strength in men aged 60 to 70. In a widely cited study, 50 men and women with an average age of 87 worked out with weights for 10 weeks and increased their muscle strength by 113%.

There is nothing to stop you from being the BEST you, you can possibly be but you!

20 minutes is all that's needed to keep your joints healthy. If you exercise a minimum of 20 minutes the cartilage in your knees wouldn't dissipate. The knees are the most common location for cartilage loss.
Remember that 20 minutes is minimum more like 45 minutes would be so much better!

What's in YOUR Cart???

Here at Baer fit we are always looking for new ways to motivate and provide information to our clients. We pride ourselves on giving people all the necessary tools they need to succeed on their journey with us. That being said we have always taken training one step further. Yes, we train you in the gym, but we also provide customized nutrition plans. We know that without a proper plan success could not be possible as a whole. And for most of us, we struggle with the nutrition aspect. So, the more information we can provide about proper nutrition the easier we can make it for you.

Soon here at Baer we will be offering group trips to the grocers to teach you how to shop, what better choices you can make and what to look for on nutrition labels. We will help you learn strategies for healthy shopping. These trips will provide general information on how to approach your weekly shopping trips. You can bring a friend, a spouse, a family member, etc. There will be no fee so I urge you to sign up and take advantage of this. We will later be posting dates and times made available to you to participate in this. Any questions you can ask myself or Charles Baerman. Looking forward to sharing some great information with you all.

Why HERE...Why NOW?

These two very simple questions have ALWAYS been staples of my interview with any prospective client.

The first, "Why HERE?" has a very SIMPLE explanation: Why did you choose US? At BAER Fit, we try very hard to give people multiple ways of discovering WHO we are and WHAT we stand for: an INTELLIGENT APPROACH TO FITNESS! Our newsletter, and its exposure to social media, is just one of many. We depend on our contacts to let us know what is working best!

The second question, "Why NOW?" is a lot more complicated. (My real basis for the question is to get my people to THINK!) Let me give you a synopsis of the answer I receive most often:

"WELL...I really need to lose some weight!
I can't fit into the clothes I used to wear, and I'm miserable!
But I but I JUST WANT TO TONE!
I don't really want to have all those HUGE muscles!"

What do you think? Have you EVER said something like this, even just to yourself? This is where I try to get a deeper understanding of what my clients really WANT...
and even more, what they are willing to COMMIT TO?

Let me share some facts (NOT just theories):
