How stupid are we!

I thought fall weather was here and now we're heading back to summer weather. Enjoy what we get now because winter really is coming.

We have some great info here this week. We tend to get upset when we see others advertise that they have a new secret fix. All these secrets are what have helped cause our health / weight issues.  
Metabolic syndrome is a cluster of conditions - increased blood pressure, a high blood sugar level, excess body fat around the waist and abnormal cholesterol levels - that occur together, increasing your risk of heart disease, stroke and diabetes. Metabolic syndrome is primarily caused by obesity and inactivity, which is caused by improper diets, improper training and trying every fad that comes along. It's like those "Women Only" diets and workouts. They really don't exist. Everyone has personal minor differences, but we are all made the same. So in my article I try to explain more on the basics.

So what is this about? We were in church Sunday and Pastor Dave talked about this passage. Basically it means that you teach your children the basics, the foundations, and then they make their own lives, but built on those basics. Sorry Dave, you did a much better job.
Now what does that have to do with fitness, health and nutrition? Here at BAER Fit, we teach you what works. Really works, not fads. So we will teach and train you in the basics that have always worked. You may stray at times, but you will always have the basics...that work.
I see such silly statements and ads for "Exclusive weight loss programs", "30 day challenges", "The greatest boot camp", "6 Month weight loss", and so many more. There is NO "exclusive" weight loss. Everyone's body loses weight the same way. I hope your life is more than a "30 day or 6 month" challenge or program. And as far as boot camps, they are not new. I was in boot camp in the 60's. It was called the Air Force Basic Training! There are just 4 basic things you need to learn, that are the same with everyone.
  1. Calories in...calories out
  2. Balanced meals
  3. Type of foods
  4. Activity or exercise level

What's Stopping YOU?

Who knows what's in store for you in the future. Nobody knows, but why are you just hoping for and praying for a change? You really need to do something to help yourself, not just hope and pray. Actions speak louder than words. And your prayers tell you what your actions should be.

We all feel, in some manner, that we just can't do the whole "gym" thing. Why do you feel that way? Everyone goes to the gym to do the same thing,...workout, do cardio and then go home or over to a friend's house or back to work.

Who's looking at you? Why would you think that as soon as you walk into the gym ALL eyes will be on you?" Are you that special that all eyes will turn toward you and then a spotlight will be there for you to do a shuffle and "Ta Da!" Nope!

I'm here to tell you that his not the scenario. I'd like to show you what I mean. Come on down to Baer Fit Training Center and let me show you the camaraderie that we have going on. Everyone here is beckoning you in with smiles and hellos, every time no exaggeration.
