If your last name begins with A-K, bring a main dish; L-Z, bring a salad/side dish. Please plan on bringing enough to serve 8 to 10 people. Food should be "kosher style" - no pork or shellfish and no mixing of meat and dairy in the same dish. Love dessert? CUMAC Wish List 2016 Gifts Due November 11 - Sign Up Now!

Barnert Temple participates once again in the CUMAC Annual Wish List program to provide holiday gifts to children living in poverty in Passaic County.Many of the Wish List recipients are victims of abuse or neglect, have the added burden of residing in a homeless or battered women's shelter, or are coping with chronic or terminal illness such as HIV/AIDS. These children are especially in need of a happy holiday season. We have a list of children and gifts they would love to receive. If you would like to participate by granting their wish and purchasing their gift, please contact Steve or Barbara Kiel at (201) 797-7965 or smkiel@outlook.com. All gifts must be delivered to the Temple no later than November 11.

This presentation by the Leo Baeck Institute, Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Paul and the Federal Republic of Germany Consulate will explore Martin Luther's changing opinion of Jews as well as the impact of the Reformation on 16th century Christian - Jewish relations. A reception follows. The exhibition "Word and Image: Martin Luther's Reformation" will be open for program attendees during museum hours, 11 am - 6 pm.

Steven Simon, co-author of Our Separate Ways: The Struggle for the Future of the US-Israel Alliance, will speak.
The US and Israel Relationship is considered strained. Our Separate Ways is an urgent examination of why the alliance has deteriorated and the dangers of it's neglect. The discussion will start at 1 pm.
