Green Tip For The Week

Full Steam Ahead
If you need to replace your washing machine, look into steam technology. Steam machines use 30-40% less water and 20% less energy than conventional machines, can operate without detergent, and leave clothes clean and wrinkle-free. (Reprinted from:  1001 Ways To Save the Earth, by Joanna Yarrow)

Shabbat Candles
Join us for our Shabbat service, followed by our Potluck Supper. If your last name begins with A-K, bring a salad or side dish; L-Z, bring a main dish.  Please plan on bringing enough to serve 8 to 10 people.  Food should be "kosher style," that is, no pork or shellfish and no mixing of meat and dairy in the same dish.  Women of Barnert will provide the desserts!  RSVP to Natalie Cohen at ncohen1847@barnerttemple.org.

Join us for bagels and schmoozing!
Come see old friends or make some new ones!
We'll have the usual bagels and lox, but feel free to bring a breakfast item if you'd like (maybe you like to bake muffins).  About 11 am, we'll go outside to construct and decorate the sukkah.  All are welcome to join the fun.  Please contact Charlie Troyanovski with any questions or to RSVP to ctroyanovski@gmail.com.
