Green Tip For The Week

Indoor Herb Garden.  A small indoor herb garden adds greenery to a home while providing fresh, flavorful accents for winter recipes.  Basil, thyme, oregano, sage, and parsley are great herbs for beginning gardeners.  Place your plants in a spot where they'll receive at least five hours of sunlight.  Keep the soil moist and enjoy your locally grown herbs all winter!

There Is Still Time to Make Your
Barnert Financial Contributions
"Without Bread There is No Torah...
Without Torah There is No Bread"  (Pirke Avot 3:17)
There is Still Time to Make Your Free Will Donation, Pay Your Annual Financial Commitment in 2015
The Rabbbis who wrote Pirke Avot knew that without the support of your Jewish Community, life loses some of its richness.  Check with your financial advisor about the best way to handle your financial commitments to Barnert Temple.  Your generosity will support the continuity of the Barnert Community and Judaism.
Do You Feel The Need To Lead?
Barnert Temple Circle
The 2016 Nominating Committee has begun work to prepare a slate of Temple officers, members of the Board of Trustees and the Advisory Board.
If you have thought about stepping up to leadership and feel that you have some fresh insights into the running of Barnert Temple, please contact one of the committee members listed below to discuss how you might serve our community next year.

Do you know someone who you think would be a great Temple leader?  We're happy to receive those recommendations as well.  We welcome congregants who have fresh insights and are always interested in new leaders who will keep Barnert vital and inspirational.  Thank you!
