This presentation will cover a number of strategies to consider to help with cash flow during a career transition.  The focus will be on those strategies that may not be well known or understood.  Topics will include:  Medical Insurance through the Affordable Care Act,  tax implications of 401k/403b rollovers and withdrawals, tax deductibility of job hunting expenses, strategies to take advantage of lower marginal tax rates during a transition and potential adjustments to financial aid.

Rabbi Frishman continues the exploration of Kabbalah, building from last year.  Through text and discussion, meditation and reflection, explore the relevancy of Jewish mysticism in the life of the spiritual Jew.  (This course is an intermediate Kabbalah program that follows the last year's class and a summer class.)

Barnert would love to stay connected! Just provide us with your student's name and address, and we will periodically send messages from Rabbi Frishman, Rabbi Steiner and Sara Losch, as well as care packages with holiday greetings and upbeat messages! Please E-mail your child's name, E-mail address, as well as his/her complete mailing address to Rikki Lowy at lowyland@msn.com.

  • If your child has been on this list previously, please send his/her address again, as we update this list each year.
  • If your child is studying away for a semester, please be sure to tell us which semester he/she will be away. Also, please indicate what year of study your student is in.
