Barnert Book Club
Citizens of London by Lynne Olson
Tuesday, May 12,  8 pm
Enjoy an interesting book and discussion at the home of Laurie Hamilton - All are welcome!
Citizens of London is a fascinating account of how Edward R. Murrow, Averell Harriman and John Gilbert Winant became close friends and members of Winston Churchill's inner circle, and encouraged cooperation between the United States and England at the beginning of WWII.  Without these three, it is doubtful that Britain would have been able to fend off the Nazi attacks on their country.  (Of course they needed Benedict Cumberbatch too to help break the Nazi code, but that was later).  To RSVP, contact Laurie Hamilton at lhamilton@gmail.com or (201) 337-5743.
