Citizens of London is a fascinating account of how Edward R. Murrow, Averell Harriman and John Gilbert Winant became close friends and members of Winston Churchill's inner circle, and encouraged cooperation between the United States and England at the beginning of WWII. Without these three, it is doubtful that Britain would have been able to fend off the Nazi attacks on their country.
