Downtown Newmarket:
We are excited by the addition of a new eatery down the street from the Mill, which adds a South American vibe to the Town of Newmarket. The Pao Cafe specializes in Brazilian delicacies, most particularly the cheese bread (Pao de Quiejo), which forms the foundation of the Pao Cafe's delicious panini sliders. The owners, Matthew and Barbara Carano, moved to NH in April of 2011 with a dream of sharing some of the amazing recipes from Barbara's country of origin. The cheese bread panini slider is unlike any sandwich you've ever had; a savory cross between a popover and a dumpling stuffed with everything from meats to cheeses, pesto to vegetables, composed salads to peanut butter, anything really, and then pressed in a countertop grill. Added bonus; the bread is gluten-free! The panini sliders are accompanied by home made soups, salads, and gourmet desserts. Matthew and Barbara hope you enjoy eating them as much as they enjoy making them. Hours of operation are: M-F, 7am-8pm, Sat, 9am-8pm and Sun, 9am-2pm.
