  Dear JABBERS: July is a month of simple pleasures. During this month of scorching heat, making it from the car to the front door without having to dial 911 warrants an Olympic gold medal - or should. In July, there is no better pleasure than sticking your head in the freezer after completing the simple task of bringing in the mail. I am fairly certain that July in South Florida is the reason we have swimming pools, window and patio screens and mosquito spray. The oppressive heat, humidity and mosquitoes go unnoticed for a brief moment in early July with the excitement of our nation's most joyous birthday celebration - Independence Day! I don't know about you, but my Fourth of July memories each year are about fireworks, children with painted faces dressed in red, white and blue, great friends, cold beer and the aroma of fresh burgers on the grill. And most of all, the freedom that we take for granted each day. Once the celebration is over I hope we will all remember to reflect on how fortunate we are to live in a country where freedom and equality are a way of life. I wish you all a very happy and safe Independence Day. Happy July and Happy JABBING!

A Dog's Life
We recently moved to Edgewater, and while I am loving living next to the water, my dogs are missing their previous walker. I work long hours and my pups are spending too much time alone, without the daily exercise they're used to. We are looking for a dog-loving, responsible walker to walk/exercise them during the week. Just Beachy
