Take a Stand Against Bullying
From Team JAB
JABBERS, did you know that two out of three teens are verbally or physically harassed every year? Or that 160,000 kids miss school every day due to the fear of attack or intimidation by other students? Sadly, the statistics of bullying are staggering. In response to the bullying epidemic, October has been declared National Anti-Bullying Awareness Month. It's a time when communities can unite nationwide to raise awareness of bullying prevention through events, activities, outreach, and education. By shedding light on this problem, people can become more aware and take steps to prevent it. Visit www.stopbullying.gov to read about the warning signs of bullying. Hard Times in the Big Easy It seems finding a charter boat in the Big Easy isn't exactly easy! We will be in New Orleans for Thanksgiving to watch our son sail in a regatta. We would love to be on the water to watch him, but haven't been able to find any charter boats. If you know of anyone with boating connections or even a personal boat they would charter with or without a captain, please let me know! Thank you.

Active Answers
From Dina Weinstein: REPLY I am a journalist writing an article on barriers to active transportation to school and ways parents can advocate to make trips to school safer and more active by walking and biking. I would love to hear from parents who walk or bike with their kids to school or who let their kids walk or bike to school alone. If you stopped active transportation to school, why? Your replies are much appreciated!
