Dear JABBERS:This weekend I participated in a street fair celebrating the 80th birthday of the city I live in - Miami Shores. I met so many new people and saw a lot of great friends from the neighborhood. I also had the opportunity to tell people about JAB and introduce them to the newsletter. There have been a lot of new JABBERS lately, so I thought it would be helpful to remind everyone about what we do.
For those of you who are new to JAB, it is an e-publication written by YOU. It is an easy, fun and free way to connect with your friends and theirs to exchange recommendations, referrals, resources and advice. JABBERS also help each other by spreading the word about events, promoting their charities and advertising their businesses.
If you are looking for something specific - a handyman, an organic grocery delivery service, the best hairdresser in Miami Beach, or a fabulous piano teacher in Aventura - but don't know how to find it, just JAB it! Submit your request by clicking HERE and we'll post it in the next newsletter so other readers can respond directly to you. That's it!
As you enjoy this week's edition, feel free to share information too. If you see a post and would like to recommend a great resource, just Reply and share away!
Happy JABBING!

Tragedy Strikes the JAB Community
From Team JAB
JABBER Heather Schatz wrote in to tell us about her colleague, Celia, known around the office for her sunny disposition and love of life, who was left widowed with a one-year-old daughter. Celia's husband Jean was waiting to get on a bus to go to work when he was hit and killed by an SUV fleeing the scene of an earlier crash. Read the tragic story HERE. Prior to Jean's tragic death, the family was living with and supporting Celia's mother and her terminally ill father. Celia is now left to support her toddler and parents on just her income alone. To help make these dark days brighter for Celia and her family, Heather and her colleagues have set up a donation page at Best Buddies, a program to which Celia was dedicated. JABBERS can help Celia by clicking HERE. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Celia and her family.
