Greetings! Now that the holiday rush is behind us and a new year is ahead of us it's time to start planning and marking your calendars for upcoming events at Autism Works this year!

Executive Functioning and Individuals on the Autism Spectrum- Presented by Stacey Martin Executive Functions are those mental processes that allow us to move throughout our day in order to accomplish tasks, monitor our behavior, and problem solve.Information shared will help parents understand various Executive Functions and how difficulties with these skills may present themselves at home and school.

Upcoming Events
Grab the kids (big and small) and head to Power Play on Monday February 15th. It's a fun way to spend the day off and help raise funds for Autism Works. Just mention you're there for the Autism Works fundraiser and enjoy this special discount for your entire family!
 
Special Announcement
We would like to introduce Pat Jones. She will be joining us this month to lead our middle school social skills class. Pat comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience including being awarded Liberty Public Schools teacher of the year 2014-15.

Programs at Autism Works
We have several great programs for individuals with high functioning Autism/Aspergers who can participate independently in group settings with minimal support. While the main focus at Autism Works is to provide support for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families,  our social skills classes are open to any individual with social skills deficits that are able to participate independently in a group setting regardless diagnoses.For detailed information about each of the following programs please visit our website- www.autism-works.org

  • Social Skill Programs Grades K-12 (meet weekly & bi-weekly)
  • S.T.R.I.V.E. Young Adults Program Ages 18-29 (meet twice a month)
  • Teen Game Night (3rd Friday of every month)
  • Sibling Support Group (3rd Friday of every month)
  • Parents Night Out (2nd Wednesday of every month)
  • New* Young Adults Night Out Ages 18-29 (outings once a month)
  • Creative Art Program (October, December, February, April)
  • Summer Art & Science Camps ( July)
