Greetings!

Believe it or not we are fast approaching our third market day of the season! We have been incredibly lucky to
have perfect weather these past two Sundays and it's shaping up to be another beautiful weekend with projected highs in the 80's. I hope you will join us this Sunday, June 8th for another fun filled day at the market, Noon to 4 PM

 This Week at the Market

This Sunday at 1 PM we launch our Chef in the House  program hosted by the Center Cafe. Our program this week features Executive Chef Vanessa Cortesi at the grill cooking rhubarb and maple glazed pork chop with vegetable medley. There is also the possibility of a fish substitution demonstrating the versatility of this unique glaze. Tastes, recipes, and preparation tips will make this event fun and educational. Vanessa will highlight the ingredients right from the Needham Farmers Market that you can purchase to cook at home. This unique program is your chance to visit with and learn from the chefs that are making Needham a fine dining destination.

Sunday is World Ocean Day

The Needham Farmers market is a proud supporter of World Ocean Day and encourages all visitors to share their own ideas on how to protect the ocean. The first 20 kids to submit an idea on how to better protect the world's oceans will receive $5 in Farmers Bucks to use at any of this Sunday's vendors. A great way for parents to share this teaching moment about a precious resource.

We are excited to welcome back kids favorite, Katie of green-blue-balloons.jpg Magical the balloon artist. Beginning at noon in the Garden Street parking lot plaza, Katie of Magical will put on a live performance of balloon magic that is sure to send everyone home with a smile and their favorite balloon animal.

This week's live musical performance sponsored by Not Your Average Joes Bar and Kitchen Needham will feature The Jam Sandwich Band. This popular cover band will be performing all of your favorite light rock songs.

Our vendors this week include  MacArthur Farm, Neighborhood Farm, Globe Fish, Lilac Hedge Farm,  Susie's Baking, FUNdamentally nuts, Playful Pup, Harriet's Gluten Free, Popover Lady, and Barefoot Books.

Artists this week

Ilene Hoffman and Tanya Chin. Hoffman is a photographer who focuses on capturing the vibrant colors of nature in Needham. See familiar places in unfamiliar ways. Tanya Chin is the owner of Zinnia Designs. She creates ceramic art to commemorate special occasions, as well as everyday gifts. Both artists will be on site selling their art.
