Mexico, the largest producer of automobiles in Latin America.


The International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA) today recognized Mexico as the seventh largest producer of vehicles and number one in Latin America, ahead of Brazil, according to data released on the eve of the Geneva Motor Show..

OICA data indicate that Mexico produced 3.3 million cars in 2014, 10.2 percent increase over the previous year and surpassed Brazil as the leading producer in Latin America, which achieved 3.1 million cars fabricate, 15.3 percent less...



U.S. trade with Canada and Mexico in December increased to $95.8 billion, up 5.4% from 2013, and trucks carried about three-fifths of the freight, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics reported Feb. 26.


 

Trucks carried 59.2% of the trade among North American Free Trade Agreement partners, the most heavily used mode of moving goods to and from Canada and Mexico...

In 2014, the value of total trade in the NAFTA Region was USD$1.122 trillion representing an increase of 4.3% compared to last year..

 


 
Within the North American block, Mexico's trade, along with its partner countries, went from 30.9% of the region's total back in 1993 to 46.8% in 2014, reflecting the importance of Mexico as a trading partner for Canada and the United States...
