Kia Motors plant in Nuevo Leon will produce 300,000 vehicles a year
Kia Motors plans to produce 300,000 vehicles a year in automotive production plant in Nuevo León, scheduled for completion in the first half of 2016, and its investment will be more than a billion dollars.

The northern border will receive five billion dollars to modernize customs infrastructure and equipment, over 50% of the total amount the Tax Administration Service (SAT) has referred to this administration, 9.3 billion pesos.A total, 1.2 billion pesos will be invested this year in the northern border, said Sergio Diaz Vera, head of the Central Administration of Customs Infrastructure Equipment of SAT in their participation in the annual convention of the National Association of Importers and Exporters Mexico (ANIERM).

Historically, most cross-border transportation between the U.S. and Mexico has been handled by full truckload carriers.
Over the past few years, however, intermodal has come to take on a greater role. Railroads have invested a significant amount of money in infrastructure. The Union Pacific, for example, has spent more than $350m on improvements to its tracks near El Paso, Tex., and Mexico's Ferromex has made similar investments in Monterrey.

said that they performed several in-depth analyses of the quality of the land where the new airport will be constructed.Because it is a project of great magnitude, they will make sure to cover all bases that must be attended, he said.

Hurricane Odile has struck a northwestern part of Mexico, forcing the evacuation of about 30,000 tourists from a resort. Odile made landfall on the Baja California peninsula, and traveled northwest with heavy rains and strong winds on Monday. Odile was downgraded to a tropical storm on Monday evening, local time. Strong winds destroyed houses and shattered window glass in Los Cabos, a resort popular among divers and whale watchers. 135 people sustained minor injuries.
