Talking Stick Festival 2015
Join us in a STANDING OVATION as we applaud all the artists, performers, musicians, volunteers, sponsors, donors, vendors, staff and enthusiastic festival-goers who helped create the best ever 2015 Talking Stick Festival. We say that every year and it's true!
As Vancouver's longest running Aboriginal arts and multi-disciplinary festival, in our 14th year, we presented in 13 days 30 events that included a mix of art, performances, slam poetry, contemporary dance, visual arts, short films, Powwow, workshops and for the first time, the Coming to the Fire - Indigenous Touring Network: Industry Series.

We were so proud to showcase a diversity of talents this year. From headliners Tanya Tagaq and Leela Gilday, Canada's up and coming Aboriginal stars: K.A.S.P., Os12, Niska Napoleon, to documentary director Terreane Derrick, and playwright/composer of Children of God, Corey Payette, the excitement never stopped .
We also welcomed back some of our favourite artists from around North America such as Maura Garcia (USA), Maureen Belanger, JJ Lavallee, Louis Riel Métis Dancers, Git Hayetsk, and for the first time the Coming To The Fire Visual Arts Exhibition curated by Shelia Hall and Ray Hartley.
A BIG THANK YOU to our new audience members and the ongoing support of those returning.
