Success with our "Indian Acts! Coming to YVR!" event

Presented by Full Circle: First Nations Performance

February 17

We kicked off the Talking Stick Festival with an Aboriginal performance is landing at YVR! event at the Vancouver International Airport.  Many travellers enjoyed Full Circle's selection of their leading artists for an array of entertainment welcoming travellers and YVR staff to the traditional and unceded territory of the Musqueam people.

It was an hour of jam packed music and dance celebrating the culture and traditions of Canada's First Peoples located by The Spirit of Haida Gwaii: The Jade Canoe.  Our amazing artists included Bob Barker, The Spakwus Slolem (Eagle Song Dancers), rap singer/songwriter Christie Lee Charles, and the Louis Riel Metis Dancers.

Exhibition Submission For Any First Nation/Aboriginal/
Indigenous artists with disability

Belinda Mason, Photographer from Sidney, Australia would like to invite First Nation/Aboriginal/Indigenous artists with disability from across the world to submit an Expression of Interest in an exhibition which is proposed to be displayed at the United Nations in New York from December 2015.

The works of First Nation/Aboriginal/Indigenous artists with disability will appear alongside and compliment the exhibition 'Unfinished Business', by Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists with disability.

This would be a wonderful experience for First Nation/Aboriginal/Indigenous artists with disability, and to enable them to have the opportunity to participate in this proposal.

Here is a link to the submission form which appears on the website for the 'Unfinished Business' project.

Please do hesitate to contact Belinda Mason if you have any further questions,
