The 2016 Day on the Hill is in the books! What a great visit with our legislators and NAIFA members from across the state. This annual event has grown into an incredible opportunity to be involved in the legislative process, to build lasting relationships and to make a difference in the laws that affect all of us and our clients. We were lucky to have four first-time participants this year, Nathan Moore, Jaynee Peterson, Sarah Miller, and Heather Azcueta. Long-time participants, Maureen Kirschhofer, Frank Mantay and myself were also there to support NAIFA-Jacksonville. Catch the fun highlights through the picture montage on the website.
The next BIG EVENT is the NAIFA-Jacksonville 44th Annual Awards Gala at Epping Forest Yacht and Country Club. Please mark your calendar for Thursday, February 25, 2016. Cocktails at 6:00 and the meeting begins promptly at 6:30. Please sign up below for this event to see our local leaders be recognized for their many successes... You may even be one of our honorees so please join in on this exclusive event at the one and only Epping Forest. We also have an exciting line up of speakers to keep us entertained. Our NAIFA-Florida President, Rod Whited, will be joining us and providing an update on important issues. Another special guest is our very own NAIFA-Florida CEO, Tom Ashley. This should prove to be a celebration of success! Please save the following dates for the rest of the NAIFA-Jacksonville year: Wednesday, March 23, 2016 - Membership Luncheon meeting featuring our Young Advisor Team Panel. University Club. Thursday, April 28, 2016 - NAIFA-Jacksonville Day of CE to be held at the Sheraton Jacksonville Hotel, 10605 Deerwood Park Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32256. Additional information will soon be available with all course offerings. The important Ethics course will be among those offered. Tuesday, May 24 - Wednesday May 25, 2016 - NAIFA Congressional Conference in Washington DC. Wednesday, May 25, 2016 - MDRT Panel and NAIFA-Jacksonville Annual meeting and elections. Wednesday, June 22, 2016 - NAIFA-Jacksonville Membership Luncheon at the University Club. Please take a look at our website to see the many benefits of your membership. 2016 Day on the Hill Highlights
Submitted by Nathan Moore NAIFA-Jacksonville Secretary / Treasurer On Tuesday, January 26th NAIFA-Jacksonville traveled to Tallahassee for Day on the Hill. The focus of the afternoon was to discuss three key pieces of legislation that directly impact our businesses with our State Representatives and Senators. These items included

The day was capped off with a cocktail reception on the top floor of the State Capitol building. NAIFA Launches "Trust a NAIFA Advisor" Consumer Campaign
NAIFA's multimedia consumer awareness and empowerment campaign has begun, aimed at helping consumers understand the value a trusted advisor can add to help them plan for the future.
The consumer website, www.AdvisorsYouCanTrust.org has gone live and helps advisors utilize the tools and resources available to help them communicate the value NAIFA members bring to their clients as trusted advisors.

Let's Go to Washington, DC!
In the past three years, over 2,500 NAIFA members from every corner of the country came to Washington, DC and took to Capitol Hill to meet with lawmakers and advise them on how their decisions affect agents, brokers, and their clients. On May 24th-25th, 2016 NAIFA will be holding its 2016 Congressional Conference with a similar goal - to establish and cultivate relationships with lawmakers, to share the expertise of NAIFA members, and educate them on the value of life insurance, annuities, retirement savings, and employee benefits for 75 million American families. Put Yourself on the Path to Success with the new NAIFA LUTCF The LUTCF� or Life Underwriter Training Council FellowSM professional designation program, was established by NAIFA in 1984. The program was designed to help agents and new advisors offer more comprehensive financial advice. Since that date more than 50,000 LUTCF� designations have been conferred. In February of 2014, the College for Financial Planning and NAIFA partnered to create an all-new version of the LUTCF� for 2015 and beyond. NAIFA-Jacksonville is seeking to bring back the live LUTC courses this Spring. If you have an interest in taking the LIVE LUTC courses please contact our office today [email protected] to inquire.
