Celebrate - Educate - Advocate

If you attended our Day of CE on February 26th, then you know what a fabulous turn-out we had along with outstanding instruction.  Whether you attended the new 5-hour Ethics course or one of the courses focused on advanced uses of life insurance and IRA planning, you walked away armed with powerful knowledge.  Information that will make you a better advisor and sought after resource.   A great big thank you to our sponsors and Cheryl Canzanella along with her team for making this possible.

This month we focus on advocacy. It is so important for our legislative body to hear from us.  While you are meeting with clients, attending training sessions and spending time with family, NAIFA is advocating for you and your livelihood.  Just this past week, Paul Broome led his team to various meetings with local state legislators to build relationships and deliver checks to those representatives who support your career.  Yes, it's that straightforward and logical.  NAIFA supports those who support you.

March 10th will be our annual Day on the Hill in Tallahassee.  There is still time to sign up and if needed, carpool with another NAIFA-Jacksonville member.  Our members will team up and approach assigned legislators with talking points.  If you're uncertain what to say, just tag along and watch the pros in action.  Bottom line: most of our elected officials are sincerely interested in hearing what is important to you.  They also enjoy getting to know their constituents.  By attending, I can promise you this: it will be a career changing experience.

Finally, as the weather slowly begins to warm and the promise of spring arrives, I sense our association growing with enthusiasm, fun and membership.  Take a chance on someone and ask them to join your professional association.  You'll be proud you did.

Building the Hispanic Market Through
a Cultural Engagement Lens

Exclusive Members-Only Webinar:
Wednesday, March 11, 2015
2:00 - 3:00 PM EDT

Presented by Glenn Llopis

Hispanics are among the most misunderstood and undefined consumers in the marketplace. Given the seismic cultural demographic shift happening across America, it's hard to fathom why brands have been so slow to respond to the enormous opportunity Hispanic consumers represent as their purchasing power is estimated to rise to $1.9T based on the most recent Multicultural Economy reported by the Selig Center for Economic Growth at the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business.

In this webinar, Glenn Llopis, Hispanic client engagement expert, bestselling author and business leadership contributor to Forbes, Harvard Business Review and Huffington Post will discuss how to leverage the six essential characteristics of 21st Century business leaders to create grow and sustain new business in the Hispanic market.

    See Opportunity in Everything
    Anticipate the Unexpected
    Unleash Your Passionate Pursuits
    Live with an Entrepreneurial Spirit
    Work with a Generous Spirit
    Lead to Leave a Legacy

From these insights, you will also learn to see through the Hispanic client lens to consistently be more aware and culturally sensitive - to assure that you are not unknowingly creating tension, before and during the relationship, that can threaten long-term loyalty and trust.

Glenn Llopis is the Chairman of the Glenn Llopis Group and Founder/CEO of Center for Hispanic Leadership - a nationally recognized thought-leadership, human capital, and business strategy consulting firm. He is the best-selling author of the book, "Earning Serendipity" and contributing writer to Harvard Business Review, Forbes, and Huffington Post.

IFAPAC
Please consider a contribution to YOUR Political Action Committee!

The Insurance and Financial Advisors Political Action Committee (IFAPAC) is a term used to describe collectively the PAC sponsored by NAIFA at the federal level and the PACs sponsored by each state association. Each PAC is a fund that supports the campaigns of candidates for public office who understand issues important to insurance agents and financial advisors. IFAPAC's goal is to help the associations advance the legislative and regulatory interests of the members of NAIFA. While any U.S. citizen can contribute to IFAPAC, only members of local NAIFA associations may be solicited to do so. Contributions must be voluntary. Contributions are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes.

Of approximately 4,600 political action committees registered with the Federal Election Commission, IFAPAC ranks in the top tier. IFAPAC is the largest insurance PAC in the country. In the last election cycle, the national IFAPAC contributed approximately $1.1 million to federal candidates and committees.
