Dragon Happenings
Dear Imagine Families,
This week our 3rd-8th Grade students begin FCAT testing. The state testing schedule is from April 15th - April 26th. Our faculty and students have worked hard and are well prepared for the upcoming assessments. Now it's time to take a deep breath and allow our students to shine. As a parent, you can help your child achieve success by making sure your student... 1. Gets a good night's sleep, 2. Eats a healthy breakfast, 3. Arrives at school on time, EVERY day and 4. Relax and Breath! Your child is prepared. Movement throughout campus is limited for students and staff during testing. Volunteers are not allowed on campus until after 12:30 each day. This means that parents will not be able to eat lunch in the cafeteria with their child this week. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding. We appreciate your support in helping us to create a positive testing experience for all of our students.

Safety- New Info
| Please note changes in dismissal below:
The Safety Task Force at Imagine School would like to share some policies that will positively impact your family starting Monday April 15, 2013 and continue the following school year. - We are enforcing that no parents can pick up their child by parking and walking into the building. This is a huge safety issue. Crossing in front of cars and non-staff members (parents) walking into the building while teachers are focused on getting children into cars is very dangerous. Only those students on the approved list with after-school activities will be allowed to pick up their child this way. Parents not on the list must show documentation that there is a need to be picked up before car-line begins to be considered for the list. Parents approved for pick up must remain outside the school by the door until a staff member releases your child to you.
- All other non bus riding students must be picked up in the car with an Imagine School at Land O' Lakes tag. Self-made tags are not approved and we will not release your child to you without the correct tag. New tags were passed out on Thursday and Friday. If you need more than one tag because of different family members picking up your child please email your child's homeroom teacher for one. Parents without an approved tag will get a blue paper stating that they have to park and go into the office to sign-out their child and show their ID.
- Many of our classes have recess and PE on the field each day. We are blocking off the first entrance right after morning drop off and keeping it closed until 3:15 each day. Safety patrols will remove the cones at that time each day. If you have to enter our campus during the day you must use the entrance by the light and exit that way also. We have students who are playing ball and running into the street to get the ball. Students would also like to use the track and they cannot while we had cars driving by. We want to make sure all our children are safe from cars during the school day.
*We know that some of these policies may be a slight inconvenience to some families but it is for the safety of all children on our campus. If you have any specific questions please email your homeroom teacher. Sincerely, The Imagine School at Land O' Lakes Safety Task Force

Laptop Labs
| We're excited to share that Imagine School will have 2 Laptop Carts with each cart safely securing 24 laptops. One set of 24 laptops is already on campus and ready to be used for FCAT testing this week. The second set will be picked up shortly.
These purchases are due to the fundraising efforts sponsored by the PTO. Thank you for your continued support of our efforts to update the technology opportunities for our students.
These laptop carts will provide two portable labs. Any teacher will be able to sign out a cart for a period and provide a lab setting within their own classroom. The updated wireless infrastructure installed in the fall will ensure that students have access to the resources they need as we strive to meet the new Common Core learning goals.
