Dragon Happenings
Dear Imagine Families,
The Boosterthon Fun Run was a huge success on Wednesday. We had lots of parent volunteers and the students met or exceeded their goal of running laps. This week they'll be collecting the pledges so the funds can be used to purchase additional technology for Imagine. Thank you for your support!
There's been a lot of interest in the Bradstreet Summer Camp. The information has been posted under Enrichment so parents can access it each week.
Bus 1 Reminder- Bus 1 is on the alternate schedule on Monday morning. We expect the bus to be running on the regular schedule in the afternoon.
This week's issue includes information on an FCAT information night for grade 3 parents, Young Artists' Club, school attendance, and the Imagine Dancers.

School Attendance
|
Family Vacations- This is a reminder that when a student is absent from school for a family vacation it is unexcused. We've had a number of families take a full week or more of vacation, and expect teachers to provide instruction and make up work. This is only provided for excused absences. Teachers do not provide work ahead of time, and students are responsible for finding out from their peers what they missed when they were out. Missed quizzes and tests may be made up on the day of their return, but it will be given after school in the office. Parents are encouraged to plan vacations during scheduled school vacations.
Late to School- Please be sure that your child is at school before 8:50 in the morning. Students should be in their classroom, backpack put away, and in their seat ready to start at 8:50. Students that enter the classroom after 8:50 are late, and are a distraction to the teacher and the entire class. Please be respectful of the learning of everyone in your child's class by having your child at school on time.
Excused Absence- Students that are ill are encouraged to stay at home to get better, and minimize spreading illness. Parents do not need to call the school and notify us of the absence.. We must have a written note on file to call it excused. Whenever a student is absent, the district's student data system automatically calls the home to notify you.
We want your child to be healthy and successful in school. There is a strong correlation between student performance and attendance. This has been a particularly difficult year for flu and sickness. Hopefully the spring will bring about a decrease in these nasty bugs.
