Dear Imagine Families,

This past week the students in Grades 4-8 participated in an FCAT Writing Simulation.  The fourth grade was selected by the state to provide the writing samples in preparation for selecting the writing prompt in the spring.

Some of this week's newsletter items include information on the Holiday Shop, an opening on our governing board, a parent information night, and Running Club registration for January.

The flu has started early, and we already have a number of students affected.  Take advantage of those flu shots available!

A reminder to parents that birthdays are not celebrated in the cafeteria, but cupcakes can be brought to the classroom.  We have a number of students with allergies, and food can not be distributed outside the supervision of the teacher.  Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

We are enjoying the holiday season with fun activities, but classroom instruction will continue this week and most of the next.
Holiday Shop
HolidayShop

This week the PTO will hold its annual Holiday Shop in the school's media center from Monday, 12/10 through Friday, 12/14.  All students will have an opportunity to shop with their homeroom class. Please see the attached schedule for the day/time your child will be shopping.  All items at the Holiday Shop will cost $2.00 (this price includes sales tax).  The PTO can accept cash or checks for payment.  Check should be made out to IMAGINE PTO.  Your child will receive a shopping list that they can fill out and bring with them to help them get gifts for everyone on their list.  We know this will be an exciting experience for the students!

Governing Board Opening
ImagineLogo Our governing board has 5 members- 2 are parents and 3 are from the community. We have an opening for a parent.  The board has asked that parents submit a letter of interest that includes why you're interested, and the skills you can bring to the board.

Would you like to see the board in action? The board meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:45pm. Our next meeting is scheduled for December 11th, and they are public meetings.
