Dragon Happenings
Dear Imagine Families,
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and well deserved family time. It's hard to believe there are only 4 weeks before the Winter Break.
The highlight of our upcoming week is a visit by the founder of Imagine Schools- Dennis Bakke. Mr. Bakke will be at our campus on Wednesday, and we're anxious to show off our new building, and the wonderful activities occurring in our classrooms every day.

Box Tops Update
|
The winners of our first period of collecting box tops are in:
Primary: Brush with 858 box tops
Intermediate: Pendleton for 1,007 box tops
Middle School: Kordalski for 589 box tops
We collected over 10,400 regular box tops & 372 bonus box tops which means the school has already beat our first goal of 1,000 and the school's first check will be $1,077.20!! We are raising money towards upgrading our technology.
Please continue to collect box tops over the holiday break and bring them in when we return to school.

Bus Schedule Update
| Schedule for Week of November 26- We are short one driver this week, so a schedule for alternate schedule has been developed. Schedule for this Week Information on Bus Times- Our goal is to be on time, but we can not control traffic, lights, or minor hold ups in our bus routing caused by things along our bus route. We also can arrive late or early at a bus stop because of how many students are on the bus. Especially in the instance of running an alternate route, we can have as little as 8 or 9 students on the bus. When we don't have to stop for all 65 students, it puts us way ahead of schedule. The bus can not sit at stops that are on major public roads either and hold up traffic. We try and be there no earlier than 10 minutes before and no later than 10 minutes after the drop off/pick up times. That is why we ask for you to be there 10 minutes before a pick up or drop off time, to assure that a parent is there to get their child off the bus. We will send out an All Call when we have sufficient time, and will always notify you by an email.
Back Up Driver- We continue to advertise for a back up bus driver to cover situations when a driver is ill or not available to drive. If you know someone with a CDL, please let us know!!

Winter Clothing Reminder
|
As the weather turns cooler, please remember our uniform policy is still enforced. Students may wear khaki or navy bottoms, and girls may wear tights or leggings under skorts. All students may wear solid long sleeve t- shirts under their school polo shirts or a school jacket. If your child needs a heavier coat for the bus ride, or for outdoor PE/Recess, a heavy coat is approved. However, all students who want to wear a sweatshirt during the day in class must wear an ISLOL sweatshirt. If you need to purchase winter clothes, please visit www.inunisonkids.com for a sweatshirt, sweater or jacket.

Application Period
| It's the time of the school year when parents apply to have their child's name be included in the lottery that is held on February 1st. The application for the 2013-14 school year is posted on the website. All applications received between November 1st and January 31st are included in the lottery. Current parents with siblings entering kindergarten next year should also complete an application form. A seat is guaranteed for your child, but we need to know how many siblings are planning to attend. The e-mail address of all applicants are added to the newsletter distribution list. We welcome our new potential families, and hope you use the weekly newsletter as a way to get to know Imagine School.
