Dragon Happenings
Dear Imagine Families,
Our thanks go out to all our Veterans who dedicated their lives for our freedom. In addition to all the classroom instruction and activities, this week is picture retakes, our monthly governing board meeting, and the Great American Teach-In. Students will also participate in Thanksgiving activities since school is closed for the entire week of Thanksgiving. A quick note about rumors: I want to dispel the rumor going around about a knife brought to Imagine this year. This did not occur. I encourage parents to contact me if they ever hear something alarming.
The Elementary ad Secondary Education Act legislation requires that all public schools provide parents or guardians an annual status report called ESEA School Public Accountability Report. This report is available at the following website:

Winter Clothing Reminder
|
As the weather turns cooler, please remember our uniform policy is still enforced. Students may wear khaki or navy bottoms, and girls may wear tights or leggings under skorts. All students may wear solid long sleeve t- shirts under their school polo shirts or a school jacket. If your child needs a heavier coat for the bus ride, or for outdoor PE/Recess, a heavy coat is approved. However, all students who want to wear a sweatshirt during the day in class must wear an ISLOL sweatshirt. If you need to purchase winter clothes, please visit www.inunisonkids.com for a sweatshirt, sweater or jacket.

Application Period
| It's the time of the school year when parents apply to have their child's name be included in the lottery that is held on February 1st. The application for the 2013-14 school year is posted on the website. All applications received between November 1st and January 31st are included in the lottery. Current parents with siblings entering kindergarten next year should also complete an application form. A seat is guaranteed for your child, but we need to know how many siblings are planning to attend. The e-mail address of all applicants are added to the newsletter distribution list. We welcome our new potential families, and hope you use the weekly newsletter as a way to get to know Imagine School.

Great American Teach In
|
The Great American Teach In is scheduled for Thursday November 15th. This is an opportunity for you to come in and share information about your job with our students. It gives you a chance to get students excited and give them options for their future.
The time of day and amount of time you want to come in for is all up to you and what your schedule permits. You also have the option of sharing with the whole school (in two different presentations) or with just your child's class or team.
If this is an opportunity you'd like to take (or you know someone who would), please contact Mrs. Denson at charlotte.denson2@imagineschools.com and list the time period you are available and whether you'd like to share with the school or just a class. Thank you in advance!
