Il Novecento italiano di Vincenzo Rabito, analfabeta siciliano.
It is the story of a century, through the eyes of a former labourer and Sicilian worker, who although semi-literate, had a great narrative ability. Vincenzo describes World War I, then his African adventure in Ogaden, his times in German mines as a migrant and all of World War II, from the beginning to the arrival of the Allied Forces in Sicily. His main pride, before his death in 1981, was to have been able to send his children to school and then to university.
Film in Italian with English subtitles. Please note that the talk will be in Italian.
