These Italian scientists, all graduates from prestigious Italian universities, are carrying out their research in Australia at the moment. This event provides a unique opportunity to know more about what they do and how their research will shape our daily lives in the future. 
 
- Dr Fabio Capitanio, an Earth scientist interested in growing mountains and earthquakes
Dr 
Andrea di Castro, 
an Archaeologist passionate about Asian cultures
- Dr Daniele Pelliccia, a Physicist specialised in Synchroton physics and nanotechnologies
- Dr Maria Lugaro, an Astrophysicist who researches the cosmic origin of elements
- Dr Giovanni Turchini, a Nutritionist expert in aquatic life
 
The talks, in English, are intended for non-specialist public, since the aim of the evening is to explain to all how these researchers work and how they contribute to general knowledge.
 
For Italian speakers there will be the opportunity to speak to each of these modern Renaissance men and women in  more detail, following the presentation. 

 

This evening has been organised on the occasion of the XIII Settimana della lingua italiana nel mondo: 
Ricerca, Scoperta, Innovazione - L'Italia dei Saperi.
